In this 17th-century private mansion, once the Hôtel de Sénecterre, now lie the beating heart of the Maison – its ateliers. Within its walls, a new story unfolds – the story of a scented candle capturing the very essence of couture creation. Sunlight streams through the tall windows, illuminating the immaculate white wood panelling. Here, amidst this serene elegance, inspiration takes flight. Sketches take shape, fabrics whisper secrets of iconic collections yet to be unveiled. The soft click of scissors, the hushed murmur of voices discussing a drape, the precise movements of skilled hands – traces of meticulous craftsmanship – the air within 24 Rue de l'Université vibrates with creative energy. Each bearing the mark of Yves Saint Laurent’s visionary spirit. The majestic rooms, once a Ministry and designed by Louis XIV’s architect, Thomas Gobert, would later host fashion shows and advertising campaigns.
